Each year we hear the same sad stories, "We didn't think she was outside that long", "They said she was too young", "I thought I could find homes for all of them". Unfortunately, a lot of these kittens end up homeless, unwanted, and alone. The life of unwanted pets is heartbreaking. They sleep in dirty alleys, they become diseased, and they suffer hunger and abuse.

Before
After getting dolled up by Candy Jacobsen!  Candy will donate all proceeds of bathing your pets to The Cat House!  Thanks Candy
But the ones that are lucky enough to end up here at The Cat House will get the care they need. As soon as they arrive, we de-flea, de-worm, and vaccinate each and every kitten. At about 8 weeks of age, every kitten is spayed or neutered.

Many of the kittens that come here each season are very young, sometimes only days old. This means that they have to be bottle-fed, up to 8 times a day in some cases. This can be very taxing on us, since our staff is limited. We welcome anyone who is willing to foster these kittens until they can be weaned. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a foster parent for a needy kitten or two.
