This long haired black kitten, came to us as a 4 week old baby.  He did wonderful with his mom, but mom wasn't very social nor friendly so as soon as there age permitted we separated mom from babies.  Now that Kitten 8022 is away from his not so nice mom, he has really blossomed into a wonderful feline.  He really enjoys playing with any moving object he can grab his paws on, and pouncing on his siblings.  Kitten 8022 would fit in great with your family.
