Meet Shadow — A Sweet Girl Waiting for Her Second Chance

Meet Shadow, a beautiful, silky-gray Russian Blue kitty with a quiet soul and a heart that’s just waiting to feel safe again.

Shadow was recently returned through no fault of her own after her beloved human dad became ill and could no longer care for her. It has been a lot of change for this gentle girl, and right now she’s understandably shy, quiet, confused, and a little stressed by everything that has happened.

Shadow will need a calm, patient home where she can take her time settling in and feel comfortable at her own pace. She may not be the kitty who immediately runs up to greet you, but with patience, kindness, and a little understanding, we hope she’ll discover that she is safe and loved again.

What Shadow needs most is a second chance — a peaceful home where she can leave the uncertainty behind and spend the rest of her life being spoiled with love, affection, cozy comforts, and all the gentle attention she deserves.

Sometimes the quietest kitties have the sweetest hearts. We’re hoping someone will look past Shadow’s initial shyness and see the wonderful companion she has the potential to become.

• Shadow is shy and needs a quiet home with no young children. (The San Diego Humane Society offers a Shy Cat training class over Zoom.)
