Lyla has been adopted!
Precious young momcat Lyla was abandoned with her beautiful babies in a box that was left in the street. This gorgeous sweetheart as been a devoted and loving mom in their foster home, and is now ready, like her babies, to find their forever futures. Her foster family describes her as “a certified lap cat who loves to cuddle and snuggle and soak up lots of affection and attention”. What a gorgeous mom she is in her dense and luxurious coat of gray-blue velvet with a dusting of soft gray across her silky nose. She loves her people and her sweet kittens, but she does seem to draw the line at dogs. It’s her turn now to be the loved and nurtured darling in a great forever home that will treasure her. Cuddly lovebug Lyla hopes there’s a welcoming lap waiting just for her in your sweet forever home!
We have listed this cat as Russian based ONLY on its appearance. The reality is that the vast majority of cats and kittens in rescue are mixed breed cats of one form or another because the likelihood that two unfixed purebred cats were running around and making kittens is extremely remote. For example, if a kitten or cat is all grey and a shorthair, we may choose to list it as a Russian Blue Mix. This does not mean that the kitten actually has ANY Russian Blue in it whatsoever, and this should not be relied upon if you are making an adoption decision based on allergies. We also list particularly fluffy kittens as Maine Coon Mixes for the same reason. Our recommendation is always to choose a new pet based on personality, appearance, charm, and who "clicks" with you and NOT on any breed description we are using.
