Kevin has been adopted!
This little caterpillar is Kevin. He was found crying and alone in some bushes not far from the Fresno Airport. We discovered that he had a badly injured and dislocated front leg that had to be amputated because of nerve damage. Sweet little Kevin is a purring lovebug who is doing well in foster care and who is getting around remarkably well for a tripod kitten. So many of the kittens we rescue come to us with medical issues and special needs, but we do our very best to get them healed and healthy so that they can find wonderful new homes. Kevin has recovered enough from his surgery that he’s now ready for a wonderful new home. He gets along fine with other cats and is a pretty laid-back fellow. We should note that Kevin is very shy and will need patience and time to adjust to a new home and family. Kevin will have to spend several days or weeks in a enclosed area when first adopted or he will hide and never come out. He has been though a lot but we are still hoping he will find a special home. Once you get him in your lap, he will purr and roll over on his back but if anything startles him he will run and ride.
