15 over 50 Honors Beth Caffrey, Dec 3rd 2021

Fresno State's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) honored Beth Caffrey, our Donor/Media Relations person, and 14 others in their first annual 15 OVER 50 recognition program! 15 OVER 50 celebrates and honors those in their second half of life who exemplify positive aging and make our region a better place!

Beth's nomination says:

Beth has been an advocate and activist for animals in our region. Beth has spent her life working with local animal welfare organizations. Currently she works for The Cat House on the Kings as their PR person. She is passionate about educating the public about how important this work is, and even when she is off the clock she doesn’t miss the opportunity to spread the word or help an animal in need. It is often a thankless job, but she is committed to the work and to all the animals that can’t speak up for themselves.

She speaks to many children and young adults at events for The Cat House, where her personality and style have shown them that it's ok to go against the norm and still be successful in life, and just because you are getting older doesn't mean you can't still be awesome.

Beth has faced many personal crises in the last few years. Her resilience is absolutely awe inspiring. She somehow managed to keep it all together so she could continue to be there for the people and animals who depend on her. I don't know how she does it, but she is an inspiration to me and countless other people in our community.

Congratulations, Beth!
