Low-cost Spay/Neuter Surgery
The Cat House on the Kings provides low-cost spay/neuter surgery to Fresno County residents through a voucher program in cooperation with several veterinary clinics (see below). These surgeries are paid for by grants when available or by donations made to The Cat House on the Kings for our spay/neuter program.
The Cat House on the Kings both applies for grants and requests donations to pay for the surgeries. You can help by donating online (add a note that your donation is to be used for spay/neuter surgery).
Here's how it works:
- You request a voucher from us using the button below and specify which clinic you will use.
- The Cat House on the Kings issues your voucher by email.
- You make an appointment for spay/neuter surgery at the clinic you specified.
- At your appointment, present your voucher and pay a modest co-pay to the clinic.
- The clinic bills The Cat House on the Kings for the cost of the surgery less the co-pay amount.
- The Cat House on the Kings pays the clinic.
Please note:
- Our grant sources require us to report the city and ZIP code where the cats to be fixed are so they can see the impact of their grant on the community cat population.
- Our vouchers may not be used for a rescue group's animals. If anyone affiliated with a rescue group violates this restriction, both the individual and the rescue group will be barred permanently from our voucher program.
Our vouchers are currently being accepted at the following clinics:
- Alta Animal Hospital
- Henderson Veterinary Hospital
- New Village Pets (Dr. Piel)
- Non-Profit Spay and Neuter Clinic - Porterville
- Pamoist Pet Hospital
- Sunnyside Pet Hospital
You need a voucher for each animal, but you can request multiple vouchers on the same request form. (No more than 6 in 60 days)
Trapper Vouchers
If you are a registered trapper you may request vouchers for TNR only without providing details for each individual cat. Each cat must be in a trap and will have an ear tip.
If you are not yet a registered trapper and need to trap 20 or more community cats for TNR and you have already submitted at least one online voucher request, you can ask to become a registered trapper by sending email to vouchers@cathouseonthekings.com explaining your need. Once approved you may request trapper vouchers.

Trapping
If you haven't trapped a cat before or want to brush up on the basics, please read our TNR basics guide. The technique is actually pretty easy. Just remember that you are doing it to help the cat live a longer and healthier life while reducing the number of unwanted cats and kittens who will have to struggle to find food and shelter.
The Cat House on the Kings can loan traps for a refundable deposit of $50. If you are in the Fresno/Clovis area, please call (559) 222-0228. If you are in the Reedley/Sanger/Selma area, please call (559) 638-8696 (Option 1).
